Practicing the shake out.

SHAKE OUT.
This morning we had a powhiri for this lady and her dog whom travelled to our school to talk and show us how to protect ourselves in an earthquake.

Miss Simeon and the teachers greeted her because the dog ain’t use to children. The lady Annmarie and her dog Mazook came to show us about drop cover hold.

First, she told us all about how her dog rescue, and searching, people that are stuck, found and people that are found in a earthquake. The dog can smell, hear when you are moving or making a noise,  those people need help.

We stood on a board with a bump on the bottom and it is like an earthquake. Annmarie said there was an earthquake last night at eight o clock. Then she put on the sound of an earthquake. There was crackling in the background and wind noises. It played for twenty two seconds. And that’s what we did with Annmarie and mazook. DROP COVER HOLD.
